## Designed to **jump high**

Issus Coleoptratus is a planthopper with cogwheel-shaped gears on its legs. The geared legs move in perfect sync - allowing the insect to jump approximately 1 meter in a single leap, reaching a speed of 5.5 meters per second.

Quite impressive for a short-legged insect, isn't it?
